Garlic Can Kill Superbug - A Health Supplement

The Superbug MRSA which is becoming more common in Hospitals, it has now developed a lethal strain, that has already killed a number of patients.

Doctor Ron Cutler, a microbiologist at the University of East London, in the United Kingdom, says that Allicin, which is a completely natural extract from Garlic, has shown remarkable success on patients with MRSA.

He has worked on this project for six years and he says that Allicin, not only kills MRSA, but also the increasing number of New Generation Superbugs, that are immune to the normal Antibiotics. We should always remember that all Antibiotics are natural, or dirivitives from Natural Products.

Allicin is the part of the Garlic that causes the pungent odour, but Doctor Cutler has developed a odourless version.

At this stage the reseach success rate, is very promising.

Due to the chemicals in the air that we breathe and the food that we eat, it is essential that we take care of our Immune System, as it is the system given us at birth, to fight off illnesses and diseases, the natural way. Unfortunately, in this day and age, the Immune System is in continual battle with the elements that surround us.

Introduing Supplements to Your Body & Improving Your Diet - A Guide of What to Expect

Part 1:

A "better nutritional program" means the introduction of foods and supplements of a higher quality, such as (Mexican Wild) Yam, (mono)saccharides, Phytochemicals or/& Food Form Vitamins, in place of lower quality supplements. The closer the food comes to the natural state in which it occurs, or the closer it comes to its raw, uncooked form, the higher its quality. All the enzymes are found intact when foods are left in this condition and all the protein-containing amino acids are left in their finest form. The minerals, vitamins, trace elements, carbohydrates and "life force" are still present. When these are ingested, the body can reproduce healthy tissue. Think about it: your cells are made from what you eat - so food does effect your health.

If you are really interested in a better nutritional program; omitting highly toxic substances such as coffee, caffeinated teas, chocolate, tobacco, salt, and highly preserved and processed foods like sugar, white flour and chemical additives; will give you some definitely desirable results. Basically omit anything that comes in a bag, box, jar, or can. The higher quality of food that you eat, the faster you will reap the benefits in health, energy, and clarity of thinking. Assimilating and properly digesting higher quality foods enables the body to discard lower grade materials and tissues to make room for the superior materials which it uses to make new and healthier tissue. Part: 2 REMOVING THE TOXINS

When we first begin to omit the lower grade foods and instead introduce superior substances (which may supply nutrients our body can use to make the building blocks that we have been deficient in) and also when we suddenly reduce or stop using toxic foods, etc. we may experience headaches and or a letdown. This is because the body is discarding toxins which have been removed from the tissues and transported through the bloodstream during its bodily rounds. Before these noxious agents reach their final destination for elimination, these irritants register in our consciousness as discomforts. These toxins may also cause our liver and kidneys to work harder to process years of accumulated wastes out of our system in a short time. But if we don't go through this process at some time, the accumulation will continue and our health will decline until something drastic occurs. The energy letdown may be due to the slower action of the heart, resulting from a resting phase. The resting phase follows the stimulation of the more rapid heart action which has been forced upon the body by certain toxins in our foods. Also fatigue may appear from energy being shifted from the live cycle to the heal and repair cycle. The discomfort will usually vanish within several days, and we will then feel stronger due to the repair which follows. Then this process may repeat again and again until our bodily systems are clean and rebuilt.

One reason people fail with their new nutritional program is that they lack understanding of how the body works. They are misled to believe that they felt better with their old habits and diet before they changed. They fail because they do not give the body a chance to adjust and complete its phase of cleansing and recuperative action. If they would wait a little while longer they would begin to feel better than before they started. The body's power has been increased, but since this increased energy is used to discharge poisons via skin, sinus, lung, eyes, ears, the mind misinterprets it as some weakness. Any weakness which is felt here is not true weakness, but merely a gathering of the forces for the rebuilding of the more important internal parts. It is important to have patience and faith and just wait it out, realizing that the years of improper diet are the only reason for our discomfort and that the body is receiving a blessing during this crucial phase. After a short time, we will get increased strength which will far exceed what we felt before we began the new program. Be consistent in your use of a nutritional program so the body can develop a steady process of repair without interuptions. As one continues on the improved nutrition and gradually raises the food quality, interesting enough symptoms begin to appear in the first phase called catabolism. Here, the body begins a process called "retracing". The cellular intelligence immediately starts getting rid of the toxic buildup throughout the body, ridding the liver and gall bladder of excess bile by sending it to the intestine to trigger the process of elimination, removing the "sludge" out of the arteries, veins and capillaries, cleaning up deposits in the joints, ridding the body of effects from irritating food preservatives, aspirins, sleeping pills and drugs along with other masses of excess fat which have made life so burdensome for us for so long. No Money in Prevention

I have been recommending a wide variety of dietary supplements to my patients for the past 18 years. Needless to say, this is not the norm for physicians. The medical establishment as a whole is treatment driven rather the prevention driven. There is much more profit in treating illness and disease rather than preventing it. As a matter of fact, the healthcare industry, including the American Medical Association (AMA), medical schools, hospitals, research institutions and drug manufacturers, have made a concerted effort to obfuscate the truth about health supplements and their intrinsic value. What little legitimate research and data, detailing the benefits of supplementation, that actually reaches the general public is quickly dismissed by the medical community as being "unsubstantiated" or "preliminary." Whenever I relate to a colleague a patient's recovery from a chronic condition by simply adjusting their diet and prescribing the appropriate health supplements, I often become the recipient of an incredulous laugh or sarcastic comment. At best, I am summarily dismissed with any one of a number of explanations to contradict what I know to be empirical evidence of successful treatment. Supplements can neither treat nor prevent any serious illness or disease according to the vast majority of healthcare providers.

"Only highly trained medical professionals are able to successfully treat chronic illnesses." This is the mantra of the traditional medical community. The most disturbing aspect of this attitude is that medical students receive little or no education regarding nutrition, dietary supplements or any alternative treatments. There is no curriculum that includes preventative medicine. Similarly, physicians do not augment their education with post-doctoral fellowships in nutrition or alternative treatment research. Additional education or training in this area is non-existent. Again, the primary motivating factor is not the patient's health and well being, it is treatment. The healthcare system is reactive, not proactive, to such an extent that physicians do not recognize they are, in part, responsible for their patients' poor health. Physicians wait for symptoms, diagnose the symptoms and then attempt to treat the condition. A more pragmatic and cost-effective approach would be to administer healthcare systemically and organically. Ignoring the importance of preventative medicine contributes to the astronomical cost of healthcare in this country, along with Medicaid/Medicare, frivolous lawsuits and unlimited tort awards. For all these reasons, the average person is woefully misinformed about the benefits that proper nutrition and quality health supplements offer.

Quantifiable Results

Proper nutrition and regular exercise is the cornerstone of any effective health maintenance program. Again, most people do not appreciate the tremendous impact their diet has on their overall health and longevity. There are countless illnesses and diseases that are directly attributable to vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies. It is crucial for you to learn about the nutrients contained in the foods you eat (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, etc.). The only way to accomplish this is to read. There is far too much data to impart to be sufficiently addressed in this article. The Internet is probably the best and easiest venue for obtaining this type of material.

Unfortunately, even the healthiest of diets will be somewhat nutritionally deficient due to processing, cooking, and mineral deficient soil. Many food-processing methods, such as pasteurization, destroy essential nutrients necessary for good health. Cooking food also removes many nutritional elements. For decades, our farming soil has been virtually devoid of the 74 minerals necessary to sustain life (see http://www.healthproductsusa.net/govreports_health.htm). Consequently, no matter how much healthful food we eat, without supplementation we are still "starving" for nutrients. Therefore, as part of a comprehensive health maintenance regimen, I recommend that all my patients take a high-quality multivitamin (ingredients will differ for men and women), an absorbable mineral complex (either colloidal or an above-sea coral mineral), CoEnzyme Q10, an omega EFA group, methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM), chondroitin, colostrum and an immune system support supplement (as such beta-1,3D glucan). It is important to note, however, supplements do not replace healthful food. Their function is exactly as their name, "dietary supplements." Patients that have incorporated a varied, healthful diet coupled with a consistent supplementation program report notably fewer ailments, with the exception of pre-existing conditions.

For patients with pre-existing conditions or new patients with previously undiagnosed conditions, I will, in many cases, prescribe additional supplements based on: dietary deficiency that may be causing the condition, case history, medical profile, symptomology and test results. I consider pharmaceuticals a second tier modality and surgery and/or hospitalization a final option unless otherwise indicated. Connective tissue and bone ailments are most easily treated with supplements and have the most dramatic results. Vitamin K1, silica, chrondoitin, MSM, minerals, collagen and elastin are all elements that will facilitate connective tissue and bone (joint) ailment recovery. I could cite a litany of conditions that were markedly improved. Suffice to say, there have been very few patients, whether their condition(s) were minor or chronic, who did not realize at least some relief after taking the recommended supplements for an appropriate period of time. To their pleasant surprise, many patients also experience unexpected ancillary health improvements beyond that of the targeted condition.

Although I have not methodically tracked the recovery success rate, I feel confident in reporting that a significant percentage of my patients have responded well to a nutrition modality. To the extent that the use of more traditional modalities were not required.

Protect Your Body and Slow Down Aging With Antioxidants

The Challenge of Free Radicals to Your Body

Your body is under constant attack--not only from pathogens of all kinds--but also, at the molecular level, from "free radicals." Free radicals are unstable molecules that result inevitably from the oxidation of nutrients in your body to produce energy. Store Bought Vitamins - Synthetic?

Getting the Most Out of Your Supplements and Yourself

Are you not feeling any results from your nutritional supplements?

Here are a few reasons why you might not be feeling results.

Why Do Supplements Make You Sick?

I have good news for you! The answer is both yes and no, depending on how you look at it.

NO, the nutriceuticals do not CAUSE anything bad to happen, nor for that matter anything good. They don't directly get rid of any health problem (as it is easy to mistakenly give them credit for doing), nor do they cause any, such as headaches or rashes.

I like to tell people that the PRODUCTS DO NOT WORK (in directly giving you the results)--the BODY WORKS!

All the products do is provide the body with essential nutrients, and the results from doing that, putting it from the bottle into the body, is that the body creates the results (and the Designer, who made the body to heal itself deserves the credit).

I like to say that the miracle is in the body, not in the bottle. But if you put what's in the bottle into the body, you can get a miracle.

And, what is in the bottle will not help you unless you put it into your body!

YES-- the products can be the reason a person gets a rash or welt, NOT because they caused it, as a drug could cause a side effect, but because the body is creating the rash or welt, or the whatever undesirable effect.

Why would the body do such a thing?

Because it is the most intelligent thing the body can do under the circumstances--it is often referred to as a healing correction. It is actually very good news when a person experiences something perceived as negative, such as a rash or headache. The reason for this is because this is solid evidence that the person REALLY needed the products, and that the body has been awakened and re-energized to do something.

All of a sudden the body has the resources and energy to begin healing itself. Part of this healing process involves getting rid of stored chemicals and toxins that up until now, the body did not have enough energy and resources to do--sort of like not having enough energy and time to clean your house, and after years of minimal cleaning, it accumulates a lot of dirt.

So when you start this overdue "house cleaning", the dust and dirt get stirred up in the process. To get rid of the dirt, you have to get into it, until the job is completed.

But if the organs of elimination are not able to handle this new load of "dirt" (toxins and chemicals it is now getting rid of), the intelligence of the body realizes that it is TOO DANGEROUS having these toxins floating around in the blood waiting to be expelled through the normal routes, because they can cause too much damage, now that they are out of "storage" (usually in the fat).

So it wisely expels them through EMERGENCY EXITS, such as the skin, which shows up as a rash or welt. This is referred to as a healing correction, or a healing crisis. It is a good sign that the body is doing something to restore its health.

It is sort of like what happens if your foot "goes to sleep." As it wakes up and the numbness starts to go away, you will feel an uncomfortable prickly feeling, like needles. Sure, this is not comfortable, but it is actually a good sign that your body is recovering, and it is a very temporary problem. Or would you rather the foot stay numb for the rest of your life?

So as your body and organs "wake up", and the "numbness" inside starts to go away, you will sometimes feel things that are uncomfortable--but if you understand what is really happening, you will be very happy about it.

It's like the master teacher said 2000 years ago--Do not judge according to appearance, but judge (evaluate, interpret) according to knowledge(righteous judgment).

So what do you do about this uncomfortable healing correction?

1. APPRECIATE it. Be thankful for it--don't resent it or be afraid of what is happening. If you understand it, you will be glad to endure it.

2. SUPPORT it by doing things to open up the normal passages of elimination, such as drinking plenty of purified water (8-10 glasses or more a day) and getting enough fiber (raw fruit and vegetables, a manna cleanse product). 2-3 tablespoons of refined coconut oil per day may also help with elimination (I[Ray] do this myself everyday for the immune support that coconut oil provides--it is the most healthy oil you can consume. It also supports your thyroid function, which can help you lose weight).

3. BE PATIENT. It usually will only go on for a few days, though sometimes it could be several weeks.

4. If after doing the first three things it is still too severe, you can REDUCE the amount of nutriceutical supplement intake temporarily, so the body can catch up while you are doing the first three things. Reducing the amounts is not necessary, but it is an option--or a person could actually stop taking the product entirely, but I don't normally recommend that.

Folate (Folic Acid) - A Health Supplement

You probably know that ladies who are planning on having a family, should take Folate (Folic Acid) in their diet, or as a supplementary, because it is one of the well known B-Vitamin group, that has a role in preventing Spina Bifida in babies, but did you know that research is finding that it helps in a number of other problems as well.

There is definitely a link between folate and depression, people with depression may have lower than normal blood folate levels.

What are Phytochemicals (Phytonutrients)?

Don't be overwhelmed by this big word, phytochemicals, there won't be a spelling test at the end of the day. You won't even need to understand all of the powerful properties of phytonutrients to appreciate what they do for you. You just need to know where to get them and you probably won't be surprised to find out that the richest sources of phytochemicals are in fruits, vegetables, beans and nuts.

The problem is - you are not eating enough of them. Several years of effort to promote increases in fruit and vegetable consumption to at least five servings per day have failed to substantially change public eating behaviors. Recent records, according to Barbara Berry of the Produce for Better Health Foundation, show that Americans are eating only 3.4 servings of fruits and vegetables per day - and 52% of that consumption comes from potatoes, lettuce, and canned tomatoes.

Even if you are eating the recommended daily amounts of fruits and vegetables, you're STILL not getting all of the phytonutrients and vitamins your body MUST have to function properly! You may THINK you're getting the right assortment of fruits and vegetables. Just like the bananas you see in the store which are green, the rest of the produce is also cut before it matures. When these fruits and vegetables are picked green, they lack many of the necessary phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Most of these properties don't exist in the plant until the final days of ripening on the vine. When this occurs, the fruits and vegetables become very soft. This isn't feasible for our growers to do. By the time they would arrive at your local grocery store, the fruits and vegetables would be bad or destroyed. So instead, they pick our fruits and vegetables before they are ripe and allow them to ripen during the shipping process or while they sit in your local grocery stores.

The solution to this problem is to pick these vegetables after they are mature or vine-ripened and flash freeze them. When vegetables are flash frozen, they turn into a powdered form and retain all of their nutritional properties. These flash frozen fruits and vegetables are then put into tablets and sold as nutritional supplements.

Sometimes I ask myself why this wonderful antioxidant supplement was given such a technical name, many people feel intimidated by the name alone, thus refusing to take CoQ10. But the truth is that this nutrient is one of the most effective antioxidants and it has been proven to help many serious diseases. In this issue, we will study in depth the benefits and properties that researchers have found in this "vitamin like" substance called Coenzyme Q10.

Probably you haven't even heard the name Coenzyme Q10, or if you have, you don't even know what it does or why you should take it.

Our primary source of fuel is through fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in our diet. After digestion in the stomach, the nutrients from foodstuffs are absorbed into the bloodstream and circulate to various tissues and cells. The cells have to break down the sugars, fats and amino acids in a form that makes energy. This energy production occurs in organelles, or microscopic organ-like structures, called mitochondria, and CoQ10 plays a key role in this activity.

There are hundreds, sometimes thousands, of mitochondria within each cell. In a sense, they are the factories of your cells, with the final product being energy. But how much CoQ10 do we get from foods and is it enough?

Dietary intake of CoQ10 normally ranges from 2 to 20 mg a day. Most of this comes from meats and fish. The richest source of CoQ10 is organ meat, like liver, kidney, and heart. If you don't eat these types of meats, chances are that your body does not have adequate level of CoQ10. Supplements in these cases is recommended. Younger people tend to get enough CoQ10 from food and from their own body production, but as we age the ability of the body to make and absorb CoQ10 drops significantly, for people in the middle age group I recommend a dosage of 30mg a day, although people taking 60 to 100 mg a day have reported a significant improvement in alertness, energy level, motivation, mood elevation, and enhanced focus.

Fortunately, CoQ10 has no serious side effects, 1.5 percent of people taking 60 to 100 mg a day have reported nausea, and insomnia, due to the energizing effects of CoQ10. I recommend to start slow, with a dosage of 10 mg a day and gradually increase it to the desired dosage or until satisfactory results have been achieved.

Do You Need Glyconutrients?

With all of the exciting things people are seeing in their lives as a result of adding glyconutrients to their diet, the question has been raised "Are glyconutrients a miracle cure or are the results people have seen a placebo effect?"

The answer is: NEITHER!

If you haven't heard the term "Placebo Effect", this is a nice way of saying "It was all in your head." This can refer to either the disease itself or the "cure." If glyconutrients were in fact a placebo, you would see little scientific evidence to support the results.

However, there have been numerous studies on glyconutrients, which scientifically validate the technology. Such studies can easily be found on the Internet by searching for information on Glycobiology.

To understand why people have such dramatic results after they begin taking glyconutrients, you need to take a look at how and why the body begins the disease process. First of all, glyconutrients are NOT prescription drugs that are prescribed to "cure" or "treat" any particular condition. They are a food. In fact, they are sugars. When you think of sugar, you probably think of the white stuff you put on top of your cereal. However, it has been discovered that all of our cells contain sugars at their core. Without these sugars, the cells cannot communicate properly.

There are 8 of these known sugars today, but most diets only contain 2 of these sugars. Fortunately, your body can manufacture the other 6 sugars, however due to stress and other factors; this process can be slowed down or come to a grinding halt. Vitamin B-1

Did you know that vitamin B-1 has two other widely used names? Thiamine is a name used in the US and Aneurin is the popular name in Europe. Thiamin (without the e) is also used to refer to B-1.

Vitamin B-1 is important to your body's health. You probably have heard of beriberi before. It can have pretty severe effects on your nervous system, heart, brain, cellular health and energy levels to name a few problem areas affected by a deficiency of B-1.

Interestingly enough, a person with beriberi that has reached the point of barely being able to move, will often respond to a B-1 injection in just a few hours to the point that they will be able to get up and walk again. Beriberi is truly a deficiency disease.

Thiamine is important to the energy production system of every cell in your body. ATP or Adenosine Triphosphate is the energy currency that powers your body. There are a few pathways that your cell uses to make ATP, the major one being Kreb's cycle. Without sufficient quantities of B-1, your body is restricted in being able to produce the all necessary ATP.

Fortunately, especially in North America, you can get Thiamine from your diet. You can get B-1 from many foods. A few are pork, peanuts,whole grains and beans (legumes). There are other foods, this is just a short list for you convenience.

White rice has the hull stripped from it which causes the rice to become devoid of B-1. This leads to high incidence of beriberi in some Asian countries as rice is relied upon heavily upon as a staple food.

Some seafood may actually inhibit the absorption of B-1 in the digestive tract. Heat and radiation will destroy thiamine and alcohol will interfere with it's uptake from the digestive track.

Vitamin B-1 is a water soluble vitamin which means that an extra supply is not stored in your body tissues. A fat soluble vitamin, which B-1 is not, would be stored in body tissues. Vitamin B-1 must be continually obtained from your diet.

Some symptoms in the early stages of thiamine deficiency include irritability, fatigue, apathy, abdominal pain, drowsiness and poor concentration. Later stages of thiamine deficiency are much more severe and can manifest in a number of ways. A few manifestations are tachycardia (fast heart beat), vomiting, heart failure, weakness,itching, blue skin color, numbness and memory loss.

Researchers analyzed data from the Beta-Carotene and Retinol Efficacy Trial (CARET). They focused on blood samples from 278 subjects with prostate cancer and 483 matched subjects without cancer. They analyzed blood levels of several carotenoids, including lutein vitamin A and vitamin E (alpha and gamma tocopherols), then identified correlations between those levels and the risk of lung and prostate cancer.
Results: In the overall population, the highest intakes of lutein, zeaxanthin and alpha-tocopherol were associated with a significantly lower risk
of lung cancer. Women with the highest blood levels of lutein, zeaxanth in and beta-cryptoxanthin had the lowest risk of developing lung cancer.
The risk reduction associated with these nutrients was 69% for lutein zeaxanthin. Men with the highest blood levels of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) were 41% less likely to develop prostate cancer.

Vitamin C
What It Does:
